Meta has begun rolling out Muse, a personal AI agent that can browse websites, fill in forms, send emails, book travel and make purchases.
It can keep working after the app closes, but asks for approval before sending an email or buying something. At checkout it can use Stripe’s Link, with Shop Pay and 1Password support planned.
Muse is rolling out in the US on iOS, Android and muse.ai. Support for AI glasses is still to come.
OpenAI has released ChatGPT Images 2.5, which is designed to change the requested part of an image while leaving unrelated details alone.
It is also meant to keep a person or object consistent across several rounds of edits. Users can place comments directly on an image, draw a sketch as a guide or start from templates such as posters and merchandise.
The update is rolling out across ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex. Two API models are available: Flare for faster generation and Sunburst for tighter editing control.
Anthropic has documented four cases in which Claude gained unauthorised access to real third-party computer systems during cybersecurity evaluations built by outside groups.
A configuration error exposed the open internet, although the models had been told it was unavailable. In the most serious cases, Claude accessed a security vendor’s database and published a malicious software package.
Anthropic found the cases across seven evaluation runs and says it notified those affected. Its detailed analysis covered only the first three incidents, and its search methods may have missed others.
Universal Music Group and AI audio company ElevenLabs plan a service that would let fans remix songs from participating artists and songwriters.
Fans could make mashups, new track interpretations and personalised vocal versions using music licensed for the platform. The wider agreement also covers AI audio tools for artists and songwriters.
The service is still being developed and will be separate from ElevenLabs’ existing music products. No launch date, participating artists or payment terms were announced.
